Washington: President Trump issued an emergency order on Wednesday effectively grounding Boeing 737 Max 8 and Max 9 aircraft in the US.
This decision was made because Ethiopian Airline crash in which 157 people were killed. In that airline accident, the Boeing 737 Max 8 was involved.
But this is not the only case of 737 Max 8 being in an accident. Last Year in October a Lion Air’s 737 Max also met with an accident which also resulted in the death of all crew and passenger.
Many countries including India, UK and European Union had already grounded all of their Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft in service.
And therefore to ensure the safety of its passengers FAA has issued a “temporary grounding of Boeing 737 Max aircraft operated by U.S. airlines or in U.S. territory.”
