A gas explosion and fire occurred in Murrieta Home in which that company’s one worker was killed, and 15 other people were injured.
The explosion was evidently related to a gas leak. It is reported that this explosion happened when a private contractor was digging on the property without first checking with the gas company.
As per the official reports, 3 people out of 15 injured people were firefighters, and the rest of them were civilians.

The explosion was reported to occur at 12:10 p.m.
The explosion shortly made a wall of fire and smoke and then rocked the nearby homes before the gas was shut off, and the fire was doused more than an hour later.
