Do you know the villains who trouble and hate the friendly neighborhood Superhero, the beloved Spider-Man? Green Goblin and Doc Octopus top the list. But this time, Spidey has found a new misanthrope in the form of a real human, a Nebraska woman.
This happened on Friday when Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird in Lincoln, Nebraska, received an email of criticism from a local woman. She claims that the statue of Spider-Man at the Lincoln Children’s Zoo resembles to be Satanic or devil.
The statue draws a hand of Spider-Man in a web-shooting position with middle and ring fingers pressed to the palms. The women believe that the figure is an anti-christian by stating that it is a sculpture of two hands open, painted Red & Black, and formed into Devil Horns.Â
The Lincoln Journal Star reported that six-foot-tall sculpture is a hate crime against the church.Â
The sculpture is supposed to evoke Spiderman slinging webs. But not everyone sees it that way.

According to KOVR, the actual thing is different. The sculpture of Spider-man isn’t a matter of contention for the city. Indeed the statue has been displayed to aid a nonprofit and faith-based organization in the area. The executive director from Serving Hands, Matt Schulte, quoted that the sculpture isn’t a devil-related at any point, as a matter of fact, the sculpture intends a child-like resemblance.
Spider-Man: Far From Home is currently running theaters conquering the hearts of all Superhero movie fans and dominating the box office.
