American singer and the lead vocalist for Linkin Park, Chester Bennington passed away on 20th July 2017. It has been two years from the day we lost the eminent singer.

Chester Bennington was born on 20th of March 1976, in Phoenix, Arizona. His mother was a nurse while his father was a police detective. He had faced a lot of hardships in his life. He was sexually abused by his older male friends when he was seven years old. His sufferings continued until he was a teenager. Chester was afraid to seek help from his parents or friends because he thought people would start thinking that he was gay or lying. These happenings destroyed his self-confidence. Chester was 11 years old when his parents got divorced. To calm his pain, he turned to drugs like cocaine and methamphetamines, which was supporting his drug habit. At a very early age, Bennington was interested in music. Bands like Depeche Mode and Stone Temple Pilots were his inspirations. He always dreamt of becoming a member of the band, Stone Temple Pilots. Chester achieved his dream and became the lead singer of the Stone Temple Pilot.
Bennington quit his job at a digital services firm. He had an audition with Linkin Park, who was then known as Xero in 1999. He was known for his higher-pitched vocals. In the next few years, Linkin Park was awarded Grammy for songs like “Crawling,” “Numb” and “In the End”. They also collaborated with artists like Jay-Z and Busta Rhymes.

Chester Bennington had a relationship with Elka Brand with whom he had a son named Jamie. Chester married Samantha Marie Olit in 1995. They called it quit in 2005. The couple had a child named Draven Sebastian Bennington. In 2006, he adopted Elka Brand’s son, Isaiah.
Chester Bennington again got married to the Playboy model Talinda Ann Bentley in 2006. The pair have three children together, twins Lily and Lila and Tyler Lee.

Chester Bennington was found dead at his house in Palos Verdes Estates, California. The Grammy Award-winner had a long struggle with depression and alcoholism before he took his life on the 20th of July, 2017. The American musician Mike Shinoda confirmed the death of Chester Bennington on Twitter. He tweeted, to say, “Shocked and heartbroken, but it’s true.”
It has been two years that the versatile singer had passed away. His bandmates posted a photograph on Linkin Park’s Instagram. The post said, “Remembering Chester today. Feel free to share your favorite moment of Chester / LP in the comments below.” Thousands of his fans responded, and posted pictures featuring late Chester Bennington.
Chester Bennington’s mother, Susan Eubanks also shared a heart-breaking tribute for her son’s second death anniversary. She wrote, “The last kiss I ever got from my wonderful boy! There are no words to explain how much I miss him!” She continued by saying, “I want us to all celebrate his life today! Love you all! Please take care and celebrate Chester’s life today! He would want us to celebrate!”
