The historical drama web series The Crown season 3 release date has been revealed.
Recently, Tobias Menzies, who is playing the role of Prince Phillips, revealed the date of release in an interview. Tobias Menzies replaced the English actor, Matt Smith in the third season of The Crown.
Tobias Menzies was interviewed by Jo Good on her BBC Radio show where he confirmed his appearance in the Netflix series. When Jo asked him about as when fans can expect the new episodes, Tobias said, that “We shot season three and that starts in November.” Menzies also said that he called, Matt Smith, (who earlier played the role of Prince Phillips) quite a few times before the shooting began.
What will happen in the third season of Crown?
According to Variety, this season will cover the years 1964 to 1976. Season 3 will be focusing on Queen Elizabeth II’s rule. The younger members of the royal family will be introduced. The Crown season 3 will show, the decolonization of Africa and the Caribbean’s. The story of Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex and Prince Philips will also be seen. Gradually, the story will focus on Prince Charles following his coronation as the Prince of Wales in 1969. It will also cover the two terms of Harold Wilson as Prime Minister.

The Crown season 3 has a major change in casts. The casts are, Olivia Coleman will be portraying as Queen Elizabeth II. The Outlander star Tobias Menzies has been signed to play Prince Philips.
