Indonesia to have their first subway at gridlocked capital

Indonesia to have a long-awaited Subway in the country with the aim of relieving crippling traffic gridlock with comfortable transport facilities.

Widodo said to the guests and residents at the inauguration that, “Today we will begin a new civilization by operating the first phase of mass rapid transit in Jakarta”.

There will be 7 is elevated and six underground stations on the line that opened on Sunday and built by two local and Japanese companies.

“The passenger fare will be free to write until the end of the month and after that, the ticket will cost somewhere between 70cm to $1,” said Jakarta

The project works totally funded by the Japanese International Corporation loan and it was planned since 1980.
