The Formula 1 legend, Michael Schumacher who is unchallenged with his seven-time F1 Grand Prix championship is ideal to many. Those supporters and fans around the world are looking forward to knowing his health. Since his accident in Meribel in the French Alps on December 29, 2013, in which he received catastrophic injuries in his brain, his health details remained private behind the curtains. Notably, he was skiing when suddenly fell and hit his helmet-worn head on a rock.
Michael’s Health Details
The injuries were so drastic that he is still in recovery mode. His wife, Corinna who is there with him from 24 years, has insisted on secrecy over his condition. The results are that in these five years, the world knows very little about Michael’s health.
The most recent detail about the legend’s health came from his wife only. Back then, she reported that “Michael is a fighter and will not give up.” In January 2019, the Schumacher family released a statement about his health. There it was stated that “We are doing everything humanly possible to help him. You can be sure that he is in the very best of hands and that we are doing everything humanly possible to help him.”
One circulating report suggested that he has no issues in walking. While in 2016 Schumacher’s German lawyer Felix Damm claimed that he could “not walk.” After that, neither there was confirmation nor denial about his walking condition.
Current Health Condition
According to ‘Sportsman,’ the F1 champion is currently relying on nursing care at his Gland, Switzerland home. Happily, it’s a belief that he is not bedridden. However, his family didn’t confirm the same while explaining that his health issues are not public matters.
After the dreadful accident, the racing legend spent six months in an induced coma. Later, before being moved to his Switzerland home, he received treatment at the University of Lausanne.
Will There Be Any Revelation In His Upcoming Documentary About His Current Health?
Fans are still eager to know that he is well enough or not. They are hoping that all these questions about Michael’s health can be answered in the documentary about the German driver’s life. With the working title ‘Schumacher,’ the project is in post-production and will be released later in the year.
