The anchor of the famous Entertainment Tonight, Nancy O’ Dell has announced that she’ll be leaving the show. The journalist, 53, pronounced during Friday’s broadcast that she is stepping down from her post as the co-host of the syndicated newsmagazine to spend time with her family.
The long-time host said, “It’s not a goodbye, but rather just turning the page to the next chapter.” The small-town girl from Myrtle Beach, SC used to watch Carolinian Gibbons and Mary Hart hosting Entertainment Tonight, and fondly admire them. Who knew, someday she would host the show for complete nine years?
Entertainment Tonight is popularly known as ET, American entertainment, television news magazine. The show is composed of interesting stories from throughout the entertainment industry, special set visits, interviews of actors, musicians, and eminent personalities, etc.
Till 2018, the weekday broadcasts were hosted by Nancy O’Dell and Kevin Frazier, while the weekend editions were hosted by Keltie Knight and Nischelle Turner.
It has been reported, that Nancy has taken some time off, to spend time with her twelve-year-old daughter, Ashby Grace Zubchevich. She had Ashby, with her ex-husband Keith Zubchevich.
O’ Dell joined ET in January 2011, following the legendary Mary Hart as the co-anchor. She referred to this position as an ‘honor’.
She committed her finale broadcast to her agent-cum-manager-cum-friend, John Ferriter, who passed away last week.
Nancy shared her final sign-off on Instagram, by posting a lovely photo of herself and co-host Kevin Frazier in a sweet embrace. She thanked her viewers for being extremely supportive and mentioned that she is massively grateful to her Entertainment Tonight family.
Who succeeds Nancy O’Dell is yet to know, however, one thing is for sure, she has had a beautiful journey, and that will be an inspiration for many to come.
