Marietta police have arrested an armed robbery suspect at a Walmart after a long standoff on Interstate 75, Ohio.

As of right now, Marietta police has captured the suspect although it is not clear what condition he is in.
Marietta police have also blocked all lanes on Interstate 95, all southbound lanes near I-285 along with I-285 ramp.
The robbery was reported on Friday morning at a Marietta Walmart at 210 Cobb Pkwy when the suspect tried to flee the scene in his vehicle.
Officer Chuck McPhilamy, Marietta police spokesman in a statement said “The vehicle and driver match the description of a suspect who committed an armed robbery in the city.” he added, “Within a short period of time Marietta Officers located the suspect vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop.”
McPhilamy also said, “Negotiators are speaking with the driver and are attempting to work toward a peaceful resolution to this situation.”
Authorities have diverted the traffic off of I-75 onto Windy Hill Road. They are also asking the drivers to use Cobb Parkway, Atlanta Road or the express lanes.
