Taika Waititi is a joking tweet said how happy he is as he finally gets to work with Ryan Reynolds for the first time in their upcoming movie ‘Free Guy.’
This is a joke (as we mentioned above) that only green lantern fans would get as this is not actually the first time Taika Waititi and Ryan Reynolds are starring together.

Taika Waititi and Ryan Reynolds both stars in the Green Lantern Film. Ryan Reynolds played the titular character of Hal Jordan aka The Green Lantern and Taika Waititi played his best friend Thomas Kalmaku.
Green Lantern wasn’t a big success neither commercial and not critical. So in a way to forget the past Taika Waititi as a joke tweeted this is his first movie with Ryan Reynolds.
Taika Waititi has directed multiple films since his Green Lantern Days like ‘What We Do In The Shadows,’ ‘Hunt For The Wilder people’ and the 2017 Marvel hit ‘Thor: Ragnarok.’
Ryan Renold has also returned to superhero flix after the unfateful Green Lantern as Deadpool.
Free Guy is set to release on  3 July 2020 and “is an action-comedy about a bank teller who discovers he is a background character in an open world video game.”
