Michael E. Busch, the longest-serving Maryland House speaker and a former collegiate football star too died at the age of 72 on April 7 at a hospital in Baltimore.
He helped in improving access to healthcare and legalize same-sex marriage.
Busch became speaker in 2003. I had a liver transplant in 2017 after being diagnosed with nonalcoholic steatohepatitis liver disease. He was also having shortness of breath for that he had heart Bypass surgery in September.
Thomas V. Mike Miller, Maryland Senate President, the state’s longest-serving Senate president called Busch a Modern representative who cared of all the corners of the country.
