Game of Thrones Season 8: When and How to Watch Episode 2

The most awaited series ‘Game of Thrones’ eventually returned for its final season on Sunday, April 14. It will air every Sunday on HBO at 9 pm EST in the USA. With the first episode having finally been broadcasted, HBO has released an even more exciting trailer for the second episode. Episode 2 is scheduled to release on April 21.

Meanwhile, Season 8 is expected to be an absolute spectacle. Reports suggest that the ultimate season of Game of Thrones cost HBO over $90 million – making it the most expensive tv series of all time.

Moreover, Season 8 has the fewest number of episodes, only six. Making it roughly $15 million to spend on each episode. Since the series has only six episodes, some of the episodes are expected to be much longer than one hour.

The first episode, Winterfell, had a running time of only 54 minutes which was a little disappointing. Moreover, it was without an ‘Adult Content’ warning. Fans are assuming it to be the calm before the storm. The second episode is also expected to be lesser than an hour, with a running time of 58 minutes.

So, if you are looking for when and how to watch Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 2 then you are at the right place. As for fans from the US, you can watch the Epidose 2 on HBO on 21 April at 2 am GMT and as for viewer from UK, you can watch it on NOW TV and Sky Atlantic on 22 April at the same time.

There is also a repeat telecast of the episode on Sky Atlantic at 9 pm.

The season finale will be the longest and run for around 80 minutes. Talking about the cast, it was quite satisfying to see all the characters survive the first episode. But, it only boosts the fear and excitement for the upcoming episodes. We saw Peter Dinklage (Tyrion), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime), Lena Headey (Cersei), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys) and Kit Harington (Jon Snow) return in their respective roles. Other cast members who made a comeback include Liam Cunningham (Davos), Sophie Turner (Sansa), Maisie Williams (Arya), Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei) and Gwendoline Christie (Brienne).

The anticipation, fear, and excitement for the second episode increased when the trailer for the second episode was finally released. The first episode left us hanging on the edge of our seat when Jaime Lannister arrived at the Winterfell. The trailer hints that Daenerys will finally come to face-to-face with the ‘Kingslayer’ who killed her father. According to the Collider, David Nutter will be directing episode number two.

And will be written by Brian Cogman. After the premiere of the first episode, there are still many questions that are left unanswered. With no story leaks until now, the only option left is to wait and watch. Experts are trying to deduce the plot by analyzing every bit of information they have. Earlier, Weiss and Benioff revealed that season 8 would open with Daenerys and her army arriving in Winterfell. That was true. earlier, Sophie Turner also dropped hints that the ending will be divisive.

We also know that the Big Winterfell Battle will be the long-awaited showdown between the Army of the Dead, the various characters and their factions. Vladimir Furdík, who plays the dreaded Night King said: “in the third episode of the last season, there is a battle that is intended to be a historic moment.” This pretty assures us that the battle is going to take place in the third episode. Leaving these aside, there have been many fan theories coming now and then.

Some of the more interesting ideas include: that Tyrion Lannister might turn out to be a member of the Targaryen line, that Daenerys will be sacrificed to defeat the White Walkers and the idea that Braun Stark will turn out to be the Night King.
