Dying Light 2, one of the most anticipated sequel to the game dying light, is finally coming to us in this fall of this year. Techland has not yet announced any official release date but it did give us new gameplay footage. So, we might not know the date is but we sure do know a lot about its new features.
The “New Dark Ages” falls upon a decaying city which is struggling to keep itself together in spite of the competing factions. There is going to be a lot of killing, running and saving against the un-dead monstrosities.
Now as for the information that you are looking for i.e. when is dying light 2 coming or will it be announced at the E3 2019. Well as for the exact date when the game is coming, that is still up in the air but it will definitely come later this year. And as for the game’s E3 announcement, let us tell you Techland will definitely announce their latest game at E3 and that is because they had already gameplay footage showing Dying Light 2’s internal mechanics, combat and dynamic story works. And this means they had already completed a massive portion of their game, therefore, it is highly likely that Techland will be coming up with more information about Dying Light 2 in coming days.
ABOUT THE GAME:
Dying Light 2 is an upcoming survival-horror-action-role playing game. It is based on the Zombie apocalypse concept. This game is developed by Techland and published by Techland Publishing. This game is a sequel to Dying Light and will be released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Two trailers of this game are out until now. The first teaser was out in 2018 and the new trailer (gameplay footage) has been released recently in 2019.
Your mission in the game is to retrieve an object which could ‘change the future of humankind.’ We are as clueless as you about what the object is. But you are definitely not alone in this horrific neighborhood. There are multiple human factions, each of which will vie for your assistance, cooperation, or death.
GEOGRAPHICAL DETAILS AND OTHER UPDATES:
Techland has given us a map which is “four times larger” than all of the first game’s combined. Along, with the map, we also have been given double the choices which shape the world. The choices you and your ‘group’ makes affects the world around you allow you to reap the rewards.
The gameplay footage reveals monuments like Arc de Triomphe and the Brandenburg Gate. “Fictional European metropolis, once prosperous, but now probably the last human settlement struggling to survive,” says Smektala, the lead designer of the game.
There will definitely be vehicles which will make the game interesting. So, now there also more driving opportunities in DLC.
POINT OF VIEW:
Dying Light 2 is going to be in first person point of view, as revealed by Smektala and also the gameplay footage. Dark areas are also making a comeback in the infected world. The game is getting dangerous and it requires you to move as quickly and as sharply as possible. Dark areas are the nests of the undead who are hibernating to escape from the sunlight. To make the game more interesting, rewards are also set in these areas. The deadlier the game, the better the reward.
FACTIONS:
The Dying Light 2 faction, according to what we know, consists of The Peacekeepers and The Scavengers. The former are the ones to rule with an iron fist if given the opportunity and latter comprises of the adept freerunners.
PARKOUR MOVES:
Besides from the regular strong parkour moves like jumping, wall-climbing, running, sliding, etc. there are many other strong parkour moves inclusions.
Some of the Dying light 2’s new parkour moves include (observed from the trailer):
- Digging into the wall with a blade and using it to glide downwards onto the streets.
- Cables and ropes to swing by, from buildings to banners.
- Jumping from a building into a moving truck.
- Jump up, grab onto a pipe hanging from the ceiling, and power kicking some poor schmuck off the edge of the building.
Night time horrors are still a mystery to us. Oh yes, you guessed it right. The day and night shifts are back into the game. The superpowered volatiles are returning, too.
We are excited for the Dying Light 2. Are you? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
