For all those who are thinking Agents of Shield is almost over, well, its far from over! With its season 6 is all set to premiere the summer of this year, the Marvel series is reportedly getting ready to be renewed for season 7. Reports say that this season 7 would probably be the last among all the installments in the series.
If you’re living under a rock, Agents of the Shield follows Agent Phil Coulson, whom you have probably seen in Avengers, group a team of top Shield to investigate insane crimes and save humanity from bizarre threats. This government tactical agency called Shield, protecting the human race from otherworldly invasions, was introduced first in the Marvel’s The Avengers.

The season 6, unlike the usual 22 episodes, would have only around 16 episodes, according to the ABC reports. The wait for season 6 is almost over, seeing how it will officially be premiered on the 10th of this month. Alphonso “Mack” Mackenzie embracing the role he had at the end of season 5, as the new director of Shield will be the highlight of the first episode.
While this goes on, the series is filming season 7 as you read! The news first came from cast member Ming-Na Wen via IG. It might contain a set of 13 episodes. With the release of season 6 happening now, the season 7 might premiere from early to mid-2020, possibly wrapping up the entire series!
