Natalie Portman has officially denied any claims that suggested that she and singer Moby had a romantic relationship.
Their alleged relationship of Moby and Natalie Portman was first hinted in the Moby’s tell-all memoir esk book named ‘Then It Fell Apart.’ In the book, Moby writes about his and Natalie Portman relationship when he first met her. He wrote, “I was a bald binge drinker and Natalie Portman was a beautiful movie star. But here she was in my dressing room, flirting with me.”
However, Natalie Portman in a recent interview to Harper’s Bazaar UK online denies all of Moby claims while also adding that Moby lied about their ages in the book. In the interview, Portman said, “I was surprised to hear that he characterized the very short time that I knew him as dating because my recollection is a much older man being creepy with me when I just had graduated high school.”
She also adds that unlike what Moby claims she was just 18 at that time when she met Moby and their interaction was very brief. After their first encounter, Portman felt very inappropriate about how Moby was interested in Portman given he was an older man.
Natalie Portman also slammed the publisher of the book, Faber and Faber for not fact-checking the book properly and called out Moby for using this incident as a way to boost the sales of his book. “he used this story to sell his book was very disturbing to me. It wasn’t the case. There are many factual errors and inventions,” Portman said.
