After ending on a suspenseful cliffhanger, the worst news arrived for the fans of the show One Punch Man; the second season henceforth will be running a week late owing to the French Open 2019.
The Japanese anime series released in Japanese and English was instantly a hit when it first was telecasted in 2015. Set in a fictional City Z, the story revolves around superhero Saitama who is now bored as all his greatest battles end in a single punch.
Second season premiered on April 10 and the description given by the makers is –
“Saitama is a hero who only became a hero for fun. After three years of “special training,” he’s become so strong that he’s practically invincible. In fact, he’s too strong—even his mightiest opponents are taken out with a single punch. Now, the great seer Madame Shibabawa’s prediction about the Earth being doomed seems to be coming true as the frequency of monster incidents escalates. Alongside Genos, his faithful disciple, Saitama begins his official hero duties as a member of the Hero Association, while Garou, a man utterly fascinated by monsters, makes his appearance.”
While fans were eagerly waiting for this new season they were utterly disappointed when the Japanese network shifted the show a week back in order to honor its players in French Open 2019. Also, it has allowed the show makers to focus more on their animation and direction as they were previously accused by fans for slacking in their work.
The season was again resumed yesterday on June 11 and will be aired in India today, 8 pm on Animax.
