The wait is finally over as World Trigger renews for a second season. Word Trigger or popularly known as WorTri, is an anime series adapted from the Japanese Manga series, published in Shonen weekly magazine has been written and illustrated by Daisuke Ashihara.
It is a science fiction adventure anime that debuted in 2014, and it’s been long since we heard about it, but it is here with the revival of the series for another season. The anime adaptation has been produced by Toei animation, and here is everything we know about the upcoming season.
World Trigger Season 2 Release Date and Trailer
The first season came out in October 2014 and aired till April 2016, comprising of a total of seventh-three episodes. In Jump Festa 2020, the makers officially announced the renewal of the show for a second season. A trailer with essential visuals for the same was also released along with the announcement. Although there has been no exact release date for season two, at least we know that the show is set for a return.
World Trigger Season 2 Cast
The major cast from the previous season is going to return to reprise their roles, which includes Tomo Muranaka as Yuma Kuga, Yuuki Kaji Osama Mikumo, Yuichi Nakamura as Yuichi Jin, Nao Tamara as Chika Amatori, and Nobunaga Shimazaki as House. Some new faces might add to the cast, but there is no confirmation about the same.
World Trigger Season 2 Plot
The plot revolves around humans and monsters as neighbors. It features Yuma Kuga, a humanoid neighbor who is seen hiding from the neighbor named monsters.
Season one became an instant hit, ran for two years, and since then, fans highly await another season, so here it is.
Season two might witness the Mikumo unit as they fight their way through. Galppoulla, the neighborhood’s largest military state, would be seen coming up with a sudden attack. All this is awaited to be seen until the show arrives.
The reason for the delay in the forthcoming season is known to be the writer’s health, as he declared in 2016 that his health was out of control. He suffered from cervical spondylosis and intestinal issues. As the news of better health of the writer came out, fans rejoiced in anticipation of a second season.
