The Boys showrunner confirms that the highly anticipated sophomore season will arrive earlier than the expected premiere date. Eric Kripke tweeted that the post-production has been done remotely and will be continued until the final day.
Eric Kripke mentioned that they are currently working on visual effects and sound work, and the season is almost finished. He also revealed that the fans could expect the news about season 2 very soon. The upcoming season would be more twisted than the first season and would introduce new characters from the comics.
I get asked a lot, so #TheBoysTV update: finishing #Season2 remotely. Still some VFX & sound to do, but we’re SO CLOSE! Airdate (& other cool shit) will be announced SOON!#TheBoys @TheBoysTV @PrimeVideo #SPNFamily @Sethrogen @KarlUrban @JackQuaid92 @antonystarr @ErinMoriarty_ pic.twitter.com/mpS8lHgZT7

The notable inclusion in the second season is Aya Cash’s Stormfront. Stormfront’s appearance will make the whole story different for both Supes and The Boys. In the comics, Stormfront is the member of Payback that was initially created to use against Nazi Germany but failed. Stormfront is extremely racist and supports Nazism. Stormfront can easily overpower The Boys as it is the most powerful superhuman, sometimes compared as powerful as Homelander and Black Noir.
However, in the comic, Stormfront was a male, but the creators have decided to go with the opposite gender. Aya Cash is a talented actress, but we all have to wait if she could deliver the character depth of notorious Stormfront. Stormfront’s appearance wouldn’t just be trouble for The Boys alone; it would be terrifying for Homelander and his team of Supes as well.
The title for all episodes of the upcoming season has been revealed. The first episode is entitled The Big Ride, which is written by showrunner Eric Kripke. The web series is expected to debut on Amazon Prime Video in late June or early July this year. The previous season has left all of us in a cliffhanger as the gravely injured Butcher reunites with his estranged wife, Becca—but to his surprise, Homelander introduces Becca and his son possessing the same power as Homelander.
