The security forces have been successful in an ongoing encounter with militants in Hagiwara district of Jammu and Kashmir. Two more militants have been neutralized on Sunday. But Five security personnel have been killed until now in this encounter. Three of them belonged to the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and two were from Jammu and Kashmir police who were killed in the encounter.
The Indian army’s Northern command has said in their tweets, two terrorists have been killed in operation Babagund, the operation is still in progress in Kupwara. A joint team of CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir received some information that some terrorists were hiding in a house in the Hagiwara district. But when the team approached the house, terrorists started open firing on the security personnel, Officials said.

The encounter had caused panic among the locals because the terrorist were hiding in a civilian area. Initially, during the encounter with the militants, Vinod Kumar of 9t battalion of the CRPF was killed. After Vinod was shot he taken to the hospital where he was declared dead. Security personals are still in a gun battle with terrorists and we will update you if any developments are made.
