Authorities have found a body of a 9-year-old girl who has been identified as Trinity Love Jones. The body was found in a duffel bag near the Hacienda Heights trail, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.

The LA Sheriff’s Department is investigating this homicide and has arrested 2 individuals who they believe have a connection in the death of Trinity Love Jones.
Authorities have not made any details public about how the death occurred but they determined the girl’s death to be a homicide.
Deputy Tracey Koerner of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau said in a statement, “Although the Coroner’s Office determined the death to be a homicide, the cause of death is being withheld.”
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Capt. Kent Wegener said in a statement that they are increasing the number of detectives assigned to this case.
Wegener said, “We have had thousands of tips come in from across the country,” and therefore to process all this information they are increasing the number of investigators.
Trinity Love Jones’ father Antonio Jones said that Trinity was his youngest daughter and he got the news of her death on Sunday.
He said, “Words can’t explain what I’m feeling right now, I just want answers. I just want justice.” and added, “She was just the best, full of character, full of life, full of joy.”
The LA Sheriff’s Department put out a notice seeking public help and asked the public to contact the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500 or to L.A. Regional Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477 with any information regarding this case.
