Apopka, Wekiva High School and 2 other Schools on lockout after verbal threat


    Apopka, Fl –Following a verbal threat made by an anonymous phone caller, Wekiva High School along with Piedmont Lakes Middle School and Lakeville Elementary in Apopka have been put under a lockout on Friday, Officials said.

    According to school’s spokeswoman Shari Bobinski, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, OCSD is investigating the situation and are looking into the identity of the Anonymous Caller.

    After the calls were made, all three schools were put under lockout. This meant that neither students nor teachers were allowed to leave their classrooms and no outsider was allowed to enter the school premises, Bobinski said.

    All three schools will stay under lockout until the Orange County Sheriff’s Department has confirmed there is no threat.

    No further details have been released by OCSD as they are still investigating the situation
