Earthquake Reported in Southwest Turkey

People of Turkey woke up to an earthquake on Wednesday morning at around 9:30 am. The earthquake is thought to be of magnitude 6.4, European earthquake monitoring service reported.

Reports about the earthquake are still coming in but according to officials the epicentre of the earthquake was near Acipayam, in Denizli province. Emergency services have been called to affected area and citizens are volunteering to help. People have turned to Twitter to verify the earthquake.

Officials of Denizli province have also reported that there are no casualties reported at this point but many buildings and structures have reported major structural damage.
