Interstate 75 bridge portion collapses onto oncoming traffic, Tennessee

Chattanooga, TN: On Monday morning, a portion of a bridge fell on the Interstate 75 North which then had to be closed off.

The incident occurred at 10 am after portions of a bridge located at the I-24 West split fell onto oncoming traffic on I-75.

Authorities reports that one car was heavily damaged in this incident. However, they haven’t reported any injuries in this incident.

Chattanooga Police are rerouting traffic on the I-75 and are asking drivers to take alternate routes.

There is no timeline of when the I-75 will open again.
