Iran Evacuates 50,000+ people Due to Heavy Rain Forecast in the Country

Around 70 villages have already been evacuated for the past week and 50,000 people are in shelter and more than 1000 people were evacuated through airlift.

Heavy flood strikes the South Western provinces of Iran and official plan to release water from river dams that are near capacity. Many towns and villages have been evacuated as forecast show for the rain are expected on Sunday.

Many children and women have been moved to safe areas while the men helping to assist with the relief effort.

Many towns such as Susangerd will be left at risk as there are 50,000 people living and it will be evacuated on Saturday.

Mr. Zarif tweeted on April 1 that “This isn’t just economic warfare; it’s economic terrorism,”
