Attack on Titans Season 3 Episode 16 was released on 19 May 2019. The summary of the episode:
The Survey Corps experience significant losses from all sides as the Titans strengthen their attack against Shiganshina and Wall Maria.
The Survey Corps was in extreme panic mode as they struggle to maintain their ground while also keeping the Titans at bay. This happened due to the Bertholdt’s surprise transformation into the Colossal Titan. Survey Corps has been in the defensive mode throughout the episode.
The episode depicted the effect of battle on people and the trauma that goes behind. Like how Connie went temporarily blank looking at the devastating state of the Shiganshina. Arnim’s lack of leadership skills as he finds it difficult to inspire his troops.
Unable to come up with a plan to attack the Colossal Titan, he tells Jean to take over. Even Jean wasn’t confident enough but he still did some damage. Making it clear that he’s only going to lead the troops and not take responsibility of the Colossal Titan, he goes to war.
Normally, the good guys turn the situation around in the previous battles. But this time, the situation has gone from bad to worse. Thus, it is clear that the “Perfect Game” title refers to the Titans instead of the Survey Corps.
Only Erwin has some plan that may work to take down the Beast Titan. But it’s almost a suicide mission. It is still a mystery whether the attack has successful consequences.
