Call of Duty Mobile: Available for Download with Battle Royale Mode

Call of Duty is coming to the iPhone and Android. A closed beta test is currently taking place in India. Shortly, new regions will gain access to the game.

What is COD: Mobile?

The game publisher Activision announced in March 2019 that it will be developing smartphone games in future. Tencent Timi studio is currently developing the game. This studio has enough experience in creating multiplayer online games for mobile platforms.

Right now, all modes are player-versus-player (PVP). However, Activision has revealed that the game will not be exclusively multiplayer. It will soon announce additional modes of play on a later date.

The majority of play will be on maps that have appeared in multiple Call of Duty titles over the years. Moreover, characters and weapons will also be taken from there.

When will Call of Duty: Mobile be available?

A closed beta test of COD: Mobile has already started in India. Activision has planned another test in Australia which will start soon.

The publisher earlier quoted ‘summer’ for global release during the first announcement but now says that it will be available in the ‘coming months.’

How much will it cost?

Call of Duty: Mobile will be absolutely free to play. However, it will come with the option of in-app purchases for in-game items.

What gameplay modes will be available?

In the beta test version, the first set of gameplay modes are all multiplayer.

Three types of the match: normal, ranked or private, options are available for selection depending on the other players you wish to face off against. Ranked matches rewards XP and other items.

The gameplay modes announced are Free-For-All, Frontline, Hardpoint, Domination and Team Deathmatch. All modes are team-based, with two competing teams of five players, expect Free-For-All.

Some new details about the game, including a reveal of Battle Royale mode. This Battle Royale mode is said to be a unique experience to Call of Duty: Mobile. There is a massive open-world map that features brand new locations. currently testing for single, two-player, and four-player playlists for this Battle Royale mode.

What all maps are available?

The most popular multiplayer maps from the COD series have been handpicked for Call of Duty: Mobile. These include Nuketown from Black Ops, Crash from the Modern Warfare series and Hijacked from Black Ops 2.

Can I play as a different Call of Duty character?

Characters from all over the COD game series will be available.

Alex Mason and David “Section” Mason from the Black Ops series, John “Soap” McTavish, Simon “Ghost” Riley or John Price from Modern Warfare, and Thomas A. Merrick from Call of Duty: Ghosts are the fan favourites.
