Lucifer’s fourth season will have 10 episodes. Now, fans will have the freedom to watch it at their own pace. They don’t have to wait an entire week to find out what will happen next.

When asked about the best thing about the shift to Netflix, Ellis said that ‘shorter format allowed them to do a lot more shooting at night and bring that edge back to the show.’

There will be the least number of episodes this season, making it a lot more concentrated dose. Lucifer’s first season had 13 episodes, the second season had 18 episodes, and the third had the maximum of 26.

Ellis added by suggesting that fans can expect to see an edgy L.A. There will also be more swearing and the boundaries of nudity have somewhat changed. This is because earlier the TV network had its limits.

Lucifer’s showrunners also talked about the limitations that were lifted by shifting to Netflix. They can now add horror elements and make the series more intriguing.

The new characters that are set to make their way to Lucifer Season 4 are a priest and the mother of Cain, aka Eve. Eve will be played by Inbar Lavi.

Lucifer Season 4 will premiere on Netflix on May 8.
