    The Series

Astra Lost In Space is an upcoming space-travel anime adaptation set to premiere on July 3rd, 2019. It’s based on a manga series that creator Kenta Shinohara published from May 2016 to December 2017 online. Viz Media also publishes the manga in English.

Viz Magna’s official description of the series reads, “It’s the year 2063, and interstellar space travel has become the norm. Eight students from Caird High School and one child set out on a routine planet camp excursion. While there, the students are mysteriously transported 5,000 light-years away to the middle of nowhere! Will they ever make it back home?!”

    The Promo

The first episode preview was definitely exciting. It showcases the first glimpse of main characters Kanata Hoshijima (voiced by Yoshimasa Hosoya) and Aries Spring (voiced by Inori Minase), among several others. We don’t see much of the plot in the promo, but it’s always nice to see what the characters look like before the show airs!

Production: All Set For the Premiere

Astra Lost in Space has Lerche as its producer and Masaomi Ando as the director. Keiko Kurosawa is in charge of character design and Masatoshi Kai is the art director.

The series will also feature the opening song “star*frost” by nonoc.
