Avengers Endgame Blu Ray August release Date, Disney+, spin off series & more

Avengers: Endgame might currently be having the greatest box-office run of the past decade, and though such a mean streak often results in a delayed home release, Marvel Studios have remained steadfast on their commitment to fans.

Despite having only been released at the tail-end of April, the latest installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will, as per various American retail sources, see a Blu-Ray packed with behind-the-scenes footage and bonus B-roll content release worldwide in the second or third week of August, with Ultra HD and 4K variations available, too.

Details about the digital release remain unclear at this point, though if Marvel’s past home-release patterns are to be observed, a date slightly preceding the physical editions, as early as the end of July, is a safe bet, with Amazon Prime in the front-seat to receive exclusive streaming rights – albeit for a limited period of time.

Avengers: Endgame will also be found on Disney+ come Christmas.

Set to launch on November 12th in the United States and other North American territories, with a eventual roll-out around the world through the early months of 2020, the service will serve as the Walt Disney Company’s answer to streaming behemoths the likes of Netflix and Amazon Prime Video that currently reign supreme in the on-demand realm of entertainment consumption.

Disney has already announced their decision to slowly pull content produced under their various media banners, including releases from subsidies such as Marvel Studios and 21st Century Fox, from competing for streaming platforms, meaning that Disney+ might have just robbed swathes of customers from its rivals by the time Q1 2020 arrives.

Meanwhile, Avengers: Endgame has bridged the gap between itself and James Cameron’s Avatar to just $40 million at the global box-office, standing at a massive $2.74 billion, making it the highest-grossing superhero film of all time.
