The upcoming first-person shooter game Call of Duty Modern Warfare is all set for release in October this year. This is the sixteenth installment under the Call of Duty series. It will be a “soft reboot” of the Modern Warfare series.
The new game will have a dreary and hard-hitting effect. The inspiration of the game comes from the infamous “ NO RUSSIAN” level in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
The makers have given hints about the comeback of many characters from the previous series. Soap and Ghost are one of those.
In Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, John “Soap” McTavish was a playable character. Gradually, Soap became a nonplayable character with few missions. Unfortunately, Soap died in the game during a massive explosion in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3.
Simone “ Ghost” Riley was first seen in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. He was a playable character too. His final appearance was in “ Loose Ends” (the fifteenth mission of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2). Ghost was betrayed by Shepherd who killed him and threw his body into a ditch after shooting and lit him and Roach on fire.
Thus, after the untimely death of these famous characters in the game, it would be a delight to watch them in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
The developers have announced the release date of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. It will be released in October 2019. The game can be played on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows.
