Claire Foy confirms The Crown Season 3: Here are new Characters joining the next season


    Netflix Original The Crown has already been proposed for four seasons and the two season are completed with third being under production. The show has generated some good reviews and critical acclaim. If you don’t know The Crown, the story revolves around the life of British royal and Queen Elizabeth II from the 1940s to this contemporary time and helms us relieving the historical moments that framed the later years of the 20th century.

    With the time being changed and the age of characters are to be forwarded, The lead actors from the first and second season left the show. So now the producers have re-casted many characters. In 2017, Broadchurch and The Favorite actress Olivia Coleman was cast as Queen Elizabeth replacing Claire Foy.

    Claire Foy brought laurels for her performance that included Emmy so the expectations are high for the Oscar winner Coleman. The other new casts on board include the name of Tobias Menzies for portraying Prince Philip. Paul Bettany was previously proposed for the role but was dropped due to schedule commitments. In early may, Jason Watkins was cast as Prime Minister Harold Wilson.

    The casting of Ben Daniels as Antony Armstrong-Jones was confirmed in the following month. Erin Doherty also joined the series as Princess Anne. For the upcoming third and fourth season, Josh O’Connor and Marion Bailey were called on board as Prince Charles and the Queen Mother respectively. Emerald Fennell took the role of Camilla Shand. Talented American Gods and Hannibal actress Gillian Anderson was confirmed to play as Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher for the fourth season in January 2019 and later in April 2019, it was confirmed that Emma Corrin will be seen on screen as Lady Diana Spencer for the fourth season.

    For the release dates, Netflix hasn’t confirmed anything about but expectations are that the show will be dropped later this year in 2019.
