Dark season 2, is a sci-fi thriller web series co-created by Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese. It is the first German-language Netflix original series and debuted on Netflix on December 1, 2017. The first season received positive reviews with some other mixed reviews from the critics. Season one is a simple plot with a simple concept with confusing characters. Season one is also compared to stranger things many times.
It is a story about several families, living in three different timelines, in a small town in Germany. All the characters in the series are deeply flawed and have trouble with their memories of their failings and regrets. Not a single character is truly innocent in this town, and everyone has something to hide, which indeed makes the show far more interesting and appealing. For the audience’s it wasn’t difficult to learn quickly that everything is interconnected and intertangled and every decision made, every action taken, serves a purpose.
Certainly, there are dark elements which take the charge and give multiple hints of the horror that will scare you a bit but you won’t end up with horror at the end.
Season one had earned many brownie points which await fans for the upcoming season. The trailer was recently released and leaves the audiences in small puzzles. Season one showcased the bits and pieces of supernatural powers but the recent trailer indicates that the fans will get a lot of supernatural stuff in the next season. Fans also hope to have fewer confusions watching the second season.
All in all, it is ready to roll again and all set raise the bars high and make it worth watching too.
