Disney Re-Releasing ‘Endgame’ with extra footage to gain the Global B.O. Title

Avengers: Endgame was just short of $45 million to topple Avatar over and sit in the first place. But unfortunately, it ran out of theatres before it could reach the milestone.

However, Marvel Studios’ President has revealed and confirmed his grand plans. Kevin Feige recently announced at one of the conferences of Spiderman: Far From Home that Disney is putting Avengers: Endgame back in theaters on June 28 with a cut that has a new post-credits scene, a tribute, and a few surprises.

“Not an extended cut, but there will be a version going into theaters with a bit of a marketing push with a few new things at the end of the movie,” Feige told ScreenRant“If you stay and watch the movie, after the credits, there’ll be a deleted scene, a little tribute, and a few surprises. Which will be next weekend.”

Avatar has been sitting on the throne, for now, more than a decade with $2.78 billion in global ticket sales. And when Endgame crossed the $2 billion mark in just 11 days, the momentum was expected to slow down. Disney owned Marvel Studios yet hasn’t offered any confirmation though Kevin Feige was determined.

The prospect that Marvel may release unreleased footage and expected announcement of its future venture has made things agile. Marvel fans are always hungry for more and they may contribute with the re-release but how much?

Will the re-release help in bridging the gap?

Looking at it statistically, the major re-releases on average contribute generously provided that there aren’t any more line ups of big movies. In case of this re-release, it may not fall in the previous case. With movies such as Toy Story 4, Annabelle Comes Home and Spider-Man: Far From Home, it might be difficult.

However not all hope is lost and Marvel plans ahead of the re-release. Though it isn’t guaranteed but things will be clearer when the reissue hits the screens.
