Jeremy Renner may return Mission Impossible 7, Christopher McQuarrie back as director; 2021 Release date Confirmed


    The American action spy thriller film series, Mission: Impossible will soon hit the theatres with Mission: Impossible 7. Overall, six movies have been released under the M: I banner. The first movie of this series, Mission: Impossible, was released in 1996. The last film was Mission: Impossible – Fallout, which came out in 2018.


    A fearless young agent named Ethan Hunt has joined The Impossible Mission Force. During one of the missions, Ethan’s whole team got wiped-out leaving him behind as the main suspect. His only mission was to find out the real culprit and clear his name. To undertake this, Ethan took the help of Luther.

    Both discovered that Jim Phelps, Ethan’s mentor, had pretended to be dead to enable him to steal important documents and sell them at a higher price. Ethan killed Phelps and got those papers back and also got his name cleared.

    During one of his missions, Ethan got engaged with Julia Meade. Soon Ethan realized that Meade would be unsafe if she stayed with him. Thus he staged his accident and devoted himself to the Impossible Mission Force.

    Ethan was well known for completing even the toughest missions successfully.

    In the last movie, Mission: Impossible – Fallout, Ethan Hunt defeated a terrorist gang, The Syndicate. However, few members of The Syndicate joined another terror group, The Apostles.

    John Lark was the leader of this terror gang. The group planned to take three Plutonium cores to destroy different cities by nuclear attack. Ethan and his team had to work hard to find those Plutonium cores and detonate them.

    In Mission: Impossible 7, Ethan Hunt will be back with another new mission keeping the audience hooked to their seats.


    The cast includes Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt, Ving Rhames as Luther, Simon Pegg as Benji, Angela Bassett as Erica Sloan and Rebbeca Ferguson as Ilsa Faust. We expect that there are going to be new entrants in Mission: Impossible 7.

    Now the question that everyone has been waiting for. Is Jeremy Renner coming back to the Mission Impossible franchise? Renner made is his first appearance in the Mission Impossible franchise in Ghost Protocol. There he played the role of an Agent named William Brandt.

    And during the course of the Movie, Both he and Ethan develop a relationship as equals. However, due to his scheduling issues with Marvel, he could be part of the Mission Impossible franchise much longer. He was last seen in Christopher McQuarrie directed Mission Impossible 5 Rogue Nation. But rumors are circulating that he might be making a comeback in the Mission Impossible movies.

    And his comeback to the franchise is entirely impossible because his fate was left unknown as we didn’t get a definitive character conclusion in Rogue Nation.

    Release Date

    The makers of the movie have revealed that Mission: Impossible 7 will be releasing in the Summer of 2021. The trailer will be released sometime next year.
