Avenger’s video game trailer was unveiled at E3 2019. Furthermore, Publisher Square Enix said that the game will release on May 15, 2020. The game is an action adventure game said to be released on platforms like PC, PS4, XBOX ONE, Stadia.

Fans were fairly disappointed with the new trailer. Especially due to the outdated character design and graphics which are sub-par for 2020 standards. Thus, prompting fans to use Twitter as a medium for raising their concerns and mocking the new Avengers game. Many Twitter users trolled the new trailer and mocked it for its use of characters which didn’t resemble the characters from the cinematic universe in any remote way possible. The graphics seemed more comparable to games of ps2 and ps1 instead of current generation games. For instance, a Twitter user aptly put it as, “Avengers looked like Shrek from ps2”.

What’s in store for Marvel”s gaming projects
Marvel announced in January 2017 that it has signed a multi-year, multi-game deal with publisher Square Enix. Fans all over are disappointed after watching the trailer. If the remaining games are to follow the same path like this one, the future for the Marvel game seems bleak.
The bashing and criticism Marvel’s Avengers end game has received is a strong testament to the fact that Marvel can’t depend on the goodwill or popularity the Avengers franchise has garnered to do well in the gaming industry. Marvel and Square Enix has lot’s to improve on and many things to work on before they find any success in the gaming industry and find the same success that DC has got in the gaming industry.
