Amanda Seyfried slams Arielle Charnas for glorifying “unhealthy body”

The drama never gets over and this time the Mean Girls star slams Charnas for glorifying unhealthy body image. Arielle Charnas is the founder of Something Navy, a fashion blog and brand and her Instagram post faced some trouble.

Posting a picture of herself in a swimsuit and captioning, “Proud of my body after two kids.” faced backlashes.

Seyfried’s comments:

And definitely Amanda Seyfried couldn’t resist. She posted her friend’s comment which highlighted Charnas’s wealthy lifestyle which promotes unhealthy and thin bodies. The comment also read that it’s absolutely ridiculous notion that mothers have to “bounce back” to their sticky thin bodies after birth. Ridiculing and pointing out the “influencer’s” pride, the comment also read that it was shameful for Charnas to glorify such bodies in an age where female adolescents already face trouble gaining confidence.

Adding to her friend’s comment, Seyfried didn’t step back. She said alongside the comment picture:  “F–k it- this is feed material. My very smart friend (again-not tagging) wrote this on a semi-influencer’s feed and she blocked both of us (even though I didn’t tag her-at least she’s getting the message).”

In addition, the star added : “If we’re ready to get paid for flaunting our lifestyle (and inspiring some in the meantime) we have to be open to the discussions surrounding what we’re promoting. We have to back ourselves up- not run away from the issues it presents. There are gray areas everywhere. Each of us has a chance to back ourselves- especially on this platform. If you know who you are- take a second to decide if what you’re throwing out there is worth it- in the big picture.”

But things weren’t one sided. Arielle’s fans supported her by saying the comments backlashing her were “tone deaf” and cruel”. While all of this creates a nice Instagram drama, Seyfried knows how to speak up. Arielle too responded in a tone saying she won’t tolerate negative views on her page. She continued, adding that she was “bullied” and was being “punished” for being thin.
