Cameron Boyce had Epilepsy that can lead to his fatal seizure, confirms his family

Disney Star Cameron Boyce’s family confirmed to PEOPLE Tuesday in an interview that he is an ongoing medical condition was epilepsy. His family confirmed that his epilepsy was a factor of his death.

In an interview with PEOPLE Tuesday the Disney stars family said that the 20-year-olds tragic passing was due to his fatal seizure and that condition was epilepsy.

His family said that “We are still trying to navigate our way through this extremely heart-wrenching time, and continue to ask for privacy so that the family and all who knew and loved him can grieve his loss and make arrangements for his funeral — which in and of itself, is agonising,”

News comes after it was shown that Boyce’s official cause of the death had yet to be determined following an autopsy that was performed on Monday

A press release announced on Monday by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner states that “An autopsy was performed today and a cause of death was deferred pending further investigation, ”

    The coroner confirmed that the Boyce was found unresponsive in his home at the Saturday afternoon and he was pronounced dead on the scene.

    In the previous statement, Boyce’s family shared their Grief saying “The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him.” Their Tears were not stopping while doing the interview and they added that “We are utterly heartbroken and ask for privacy during this immensely difficult time as we grieve the loss of our precious son and brother.“

    On Monday, Boyce’s father, Victor Boyce finally broke his silence on his son’s tragic death. How used Twitter and tweets a heartwarming message “I’m overwhelmed with love and support our family has received,  “ease the pain of this nightmare I can’t wake up from, I can’t thank you guys enough,”
