Selena Marie Gomez was born in Grand Prairie, Texas on July 22, 1992. Her father, Ricardo Joel Gomez, is a media personality and her mother, Amanda Dawn “Mandy” Cornett, a former stage actress. When Selena was 5 years old, her parents divorced. After divorce, Selena stayed with her mother.
