James Marsden Was Casted For Once Upon A Time in Hollywood But Doesn’t Appear in The Final Film

Quentin Tarantino is regarded as one of the pioneer filmmakers in Hollywood, and the director is having his 9th film on the line. Tarantino has the habit of including great actors and phenomenal performers in any of his movies and Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood is no exception.

The movie includes the ensemble cast of Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, and Margot Robbie, alongside Kurt Russell, Dakota Fanning, Austin Butler, Emile Hirsch, Margaret Qualley, Timothy Olyphant, and Bruce Dern. But there’s a surprise about one cast, the guy who was announced in a cast but never made it to the final cut of the film.

Back in June, It was claimed that actor James Marsden would be joining the cast, but Westworld actor doesn’t appear in the final film. The question was raised immediately about removing him from the casting. Recently, Collider claimed that the 45-year-old actor was set to play legendary actor Burt Reynolds. Yes, how many of you recall, but James Marsden was set to play Lewis Medlock from Deliverance.

James Marsden read the script and played a part, but the real reason why he has been outcasted hasn’t been revealed. On the other hand, Burt Reynolds himself was approached to co-star in the film, but the veteran actor sadly passed away in 2018.

Set in the Golden Age of Hollywood the movie follows a TV star Rick Dalton, portrayed by Leonardo DiCaprio and his stubborn and long-time stunt double Cliff Booth portrayed by Brad Pitt who is struggling in 1969 Los Angeles struggling in the transformed industry. The film is made as a tribute to the final moments in Hollywood’s Golden Age and also features Margot Robbie as the pregnant actress, Sharon Tate.

The film, as claimed the Tarantino’s Love Letter to the 60s is set to hit theaters on July 26, 2019.
