LEE LACOCCA- Father Of The Ford Mustand Is No More.


    Lido Anthony “lee” lacocca, an American automobile executive born on 15 october 1924. He is known for the development of ford mustang and pinto cars. He also revived the Chrysler Corporation as its CEO during the 1980s and saved it from bankruptcy.

    Auto-industry icon died on two July at the age of 94. Iacocca’s youngest daughter confirmed that he passed away from complications from Parkinson’s disease at his home in Los Angeles. Lee lived in the bel air section of Los Angeles in his final years. “He played a historic role in rescuing Chrysler through the crisis and making it a truly competitive force. He was one of the structural leaders of our company and the auto industry,” the firm fiat Chrysler automobiles (FCA) said.

    Lee began his career as engineer at the ford motor company in 1946. In 1964 he marked his name in history by designing the ford mustang, one of America’s most iconic cars. However, he was fired by the company in 1978 after being accused of plotting to dismiss chairman henry ford II and take over his position. Lee Iacocca becomes closely associated with at least three iconic vehicles, including the ford mustang, the k-car, and minivans.


    American consumer may be remember him best from one of a series of Chrysler TV commercials, in which he said, “if you can find a better car, buy it. “He also played a heartfelt role on the national stage as a business statesman and philanthropist.”

    I began my life as the son of immigrants, and I worked my way up to the presidency of the ford, Lee wrote in his 1984 autobiography. “when I finally got there, I was on top of the world. But then fate said to me: wait we are not finished with you. Now you’re going to find out what it feels like to get kicked off Mt. Everest!”
