Miley Cyrus talks about marriage with Liam Hemsworth, said she’s ‘still attracted to women’

Miley Cyrus has taken it upon herself to disprove long-held stereotypes yet again.

As a possible casual observer, one would perhaps presume that the very existence of a heterosexual marriage might imply that the bisexual partner of the two simply foregoes their attraction to other genders, but the singer, in an interview with fashion magazine Elle, made it clear that no such societal tenet bound her relationship with actor Liam Hemsworth.

The cover star for Elle’s upcoming August issue, the 26-year-old gave an insight into her relationship with Hemsworth, whom she spontaneously married last December in a quiet, tightly-knit ceremony that capped a relationship which has spanned more than a decade.

Speaking on the topic, Cyrus stated ‘I think it’s very confusing to people that I’m married. But my relationship is unique. And I don’t know that I would ever publicly allow people in there because it’s so complex, and modern, and new that I don’t think we’re in a place where people would get it.’ And further that ‘I’m in a hetero relationship, but I still am very sexually attracted to women. People become vegetarian for health reasons, but bacon is still f—ing good, and I know that. I made a partner decision. This is the person I feel has my back the most.’

While not an official concert tour as of yet, Cyrus has made a spate of public appearances and performed classic tracks from her discography and those from her upcoming seventh studio album, entitled She Is Miley Cyrus, at a plethora of music festivals and late-night shows around the world since winter last year.

The album’s lead single, Mother’s Daughter, was released on June 11th by RCA Records, with the full-record expected to hit shelves sometime around Autumn this year itself.
