NASA reported: Hazardous Asteroid 2006 QQ23 Might Hit Earth in August

NASA has detected that 2006 Q233 Asteroid having a diameter of 1870 feet, which entered into the Earth back in 2006 over Russia, might hit the earth in August and if it hits our earth then it may cause grave damage

According to NASA, massive, hazardous asteroid namely, 2006 QQ23, has high chances of hitting Earth next month.

It is reported that 2006 QQ23 Asteroid is expected to move past the Earth on 10th of August and nearly a 7:23 a.m. at a distance of about 0.04977 au which is a shorter distance in astronomical terms.

This asteroid has been called as “hazardous” as it might hit the earth if it’s orbit intersect with Earth’s orbit.

The estimated diameter for the asteroid has been determined to around 1870 feet, i.e., 250 m – 570 m.
It is expected to be very large in size and estimated length if the same is nearly 66 feet.

As per the reports, In 2013 it entered into the earth’s atmosphere over Russia.

Generally, it is a not to worry situation if an asteroid enters the earth’s atmosphere or even if it hits the earth, but this 2006 QQ23 asteroid comes with a problem as if it hits the earth it may cause damage to the earth including us.

This asteroid is known as 2006 QQ23 as it was first observed on August 21, 2006.

As per the data collected by NASA’s Center for Near-Earth Object Studies (CNEOS), this asteroid is traveling at a speed of 10,400 miles per hour.
