Reviving ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ with Jonathon Groff this time


    Jonathon Groff will now be a part of ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ a comedy horror musical which will be performed at Off-Broadway house.

    Jonathon Drew Groff, an American actor, producer and singer from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, U.S. gained fame from his performance in 2006 as the lead role of Melchior Gabor in Broadway production of Spring Awakening.

    Groff has been a part of television, played the role of Ian Todd in Boss. He had been nominated two times for the Tony Award. He performed as a voice-over artist in LEGO Frozen Northern Lights as Kristoff in 2016, movies like  Frozen as Kristoff in 2013, Frozen Fever (2015), Olaf’s  Frozen Adventure (2017) and he’ll be doing a voice-over in Frozen 2 which will be coming this November.

    But the part of the discussion right now is Jonathon Groff is to lead off-Broadway ‘Little Shop of Horrors.’ He was never a part of the production of Little Shop of Horrors. He said in an interview, “It’s scary, funny, genius show, and I’m excited to celebrate it and to do it in that small space its seems like an illegal amount of fun.”

    This is a comedy horror musical once performed at Virginia Theatre in 2003. This is about a large, flesh-eating and bloodsucking plant.

    Groff, as an insecure florist shop clerk Seymore who’s the caretaker of the plant. The producers of the show are Hunter Arnold, Micky Lidell, Curt Cronin, John Joseph, Tom Kirdahy and Robert Ahrens. Jonathon has already begun the preparation for his part as he’s learning the songs. He said, “ When you get to do good material eight times a week, it has the power to transform you.”

    The show is extremely loved as it is performed in many places like schools, community theatres, and companies. It will now be performed in Off-Broadway house.
