Sherlock Holmes 3: release date, plans, cast (everything you need to know)


    Sherlock Holmes, one of the best fictional detective that shares a fan base all over the world. From books to the screen of the cinema it has never gone wrong. The fictional character created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in 1887 got its first appearance and was loved a lot.

    Later in 2009, we all experienced the first movie of Sherlock Holmes on the 25th of December. The Christmas Eve was filled with the action and mystery by director Guy Ritchie. Another Christmas month was celebrated with the detective on screen in 2011 on the 16th of December. Sherlock Holmes: The franchise released a game of shadows.

    The character of Sherlock and Dr. Watson doing bromance and solving the mystery was so lovable. People enjoyed the comedy and the action at the same time. Sherlock Holmes is one of the best sellers from the whole world which people of almost every age is admired by.

    Will the franchise add one more movie?

    Earlier in 2012, just after one month of the release of “A game of shadows” there were rumors about one more movie. Later in 2018, the stories raised to the peek saying that the director Guy Ritchie is having meetings with Robert Downey Jr. ( Sherlock Holmes) and Jude Law ( Dr. Watson ).

    The first shooting was beginning from late 2018 only, but due to some issues, the shooting couldn’t start. Robert was busy with his own prior appointments like was working on “Avengers: End game” and Jude was also working as he was also the part of “Captain Marvel.”
    The schedules couldn’t match. Thus there was a delay, but Sherlock Holmes 3 is confirmed.

    Sherlock Holmes 3: Release date

    The initial release was 25th of December, 2020 but as so far there is no sign of any shooting the time is changed by Dexter fetcher, the new director of the movie to 22nd of December. Fletcher starred as Soap in Richie’s film debut Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels back in 1998, and in recent years has become an accomplished director.
    This is the good news for fans of Sherlock Holmes that the part is going to begin its shooting soon in 2020.

    Who will be the villain?

    As in the second part, Professor James Moriarty (played by Jared Harris) was dead by Sherlock. But as per that scene, Sherlock must have died too, but he will show to Dr. Watson. So there are possibilities that Moriarty will return.

    Jared Harris so far has confirmed that in the script there is no sign of his entry yet so maybe he is not going to be there.
    Will they enter a new villain or someone will add up from the past. Even the appearance of Mary, the wife of Dr. Watson (Kelly Reilly), Mycroft the brother of Sherlock (Stephen Fry) and inspector Lestrade (Eddie Mason) is not confirmed yet.

    The plot is right now highly confidential and is not opened at all. Chris Brancato is writing the script.
