The Kingsman series have gained insane popularity after the first movie, and now it’s prequel is here. The movie is set to be released in 2020 and would tell us the history of the secret organisation.
WHAT IS HAPPENING THIS TIME?
The upcoming prequel will show more the kingsman universe and will expand the universe the audience has seen. The first movie included a London teen boy, Eggsy trying to be a secret agent who specialises in various weapon and hand to hand combat. The second movie expanded the universe by showcasing the American branch of the Kingsman. Both the two movies were very popular and gained huge fans over time.
This time the movie will not open any new plot but rather will show the history of Kingsman. The King’s Man was set to release on 9 February 2019, but the production was pushed back due to some unknown reason. The movie will now release on 14 February 2020. Matthew Vaughn will be the director of this movie again. The director had wished to film The King’s Man and Kingsman 3 back to back, but that couldn’t happen. The lead of Kingsman, Egerton was busy with another film, so the production of Kingsman 3 was pushed.
The movie is likely to bet set in 1914 or 1915 and will tell the tale of the wealthy tailor which was mentioned in the first movie. The movie will show events and try to fit it in the timeline to make the future movies more sensible since the story occurs decades ago, so it will have an entirely new cast. Till now no new footage of the movie has been released, but we can expect in by the end of 2019.
The director has even more plans after Kingsman 3 and says that he wants to make a TV series. The Kingsman universe is sure to expand in the future and would be another blockbuster.
