The federal, state and local agencies have come together to crack down crime in the most populous city in the U.S. State of Maryland that is Baltimore.
Baltimore’s U.S. District Attorney announced about Baltimore’s crime status in recent month. According to Fox News, Federal authorities have charged 90 suspects related to separate drug conspiracies in the month of July only. Authorities have also seized 51 guns, more than One Million Dollar in cash and large volumes of fentanyl, heroin, cocaine, and marijuana as a part of the operation.

Reacting to President Donald Trump’s comments, U.S. Attorney Robert Hur said that the comments do not affect the authorities and they still look forward to reducing the crime rate in Baltimore. He included ” We are not going anywhere. We are here to stay, and will keep doing this work together, We are all in this together.”

Baltimore is located about 40 miles northeast of Washington, D.C. And according to Wikipedia, Crime in Baltimore ( generally concentrated in areas high in poverty) has been far above the national average for many years.
