The Kapil Sharma Show has been in the news recently after Navjot Singh Sidhu made questionable statements about the Pulwama terror attack. Mr. Sidhu has faced serious backlash over his comments which also resulted in him reportedly being sacked from the show. He has co-hosted TKSS from the beginning alongside Kapil Sharma since the inception of the show.
But Kapil Sharma has broken his silence and now he too is facing backlash over what he said. Kapil Sharma is hosting an Art of Living event as part of a Drug-Free India campaign in Chandigarh. And there he addressed the controversy surrounding Mr. Sidhu and said: “sacking him (Sidhu) is not the solution.”
In a statement to Zee News, he said “Navjot Singh Sidhu is busy with his prior commitments due to which Archana Puran Singh is shooting with us. These are very small things, or can also be a part of propaganda. I feel banning someone or sacking Navjot Singh Sidhu from the show (The Kapil Sharma Show) is not the solution. We need to look for a permanent solution.”
He added “We are with the government but still we need a permanent solution. The cowardly act in Pulwama that killed our soldiers shouldn’t be forgotten and the culprits should be punished”
And fans are not happy with what Kapil Sharma has said. Fans are angry with Kapil Sharma as he is seen somewhat defending the actions and statements made by Navjot Singh Sidhu. This has irked thousands of viewers of TKSS to show to their dislike on Twitter. Hashtags such as #BoycottKapilSharma and #UnsubscribeSonyTV are trending on Twitter, urging the viewers the stop following the TKSS.

There were multiple reports and rumors going around social media that Navjot Singh Sidhu has been sacked from the show. Mr. Sidhu, however, debunked these claims and made a statement “I had to attend Vidhan Sabha’s session due to which I couldn’t go for the shoots of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ and they got somebody else in my replacement for two episodes. I have no intimation about my termination from the channel. If it is regarding my statement, I will stick to what I have been saying yesterday, today and ever tomorrow.”
