Arkansas’ Highway 278 has been closed after a truck carrying ammonium nitrate exploded on the highway on Wednesday.
The accident occurred at west of Camden authorities have closed the highway from Arkansas 57 to Arkansas 376, Arkansas Department of Transportation said.
Arkansas DOT has made a tweet informing motorists about this incident. They said, “due to a accident involving truck carrying Ammonium Nitrate.” And added, It has exploded and a 1/2 mile area is cordoned off.”

The Ouachita County Sheriff’s Office has corned off both the lanes of the highway and is asking the drivers to take an alternate route to avoid the accident.
