Following an Officer Involved Shooting, one suspect was fatally after he allegedly tried to point his gun at a Phoenix Police Department Officer in Maryvale.
This incident took place early morning on Thursday after Officers from the Phoenix Police Department responded to a commercial robbery in Maryvale.
There the officers noticed a suspicious vehicle with no light on. The vehicle then tried to flee after it was approached by officers for investigation but the suspect got out and tried to flee on foot.
One officer caught up to one of the suspects where he tried to stop him. The suspect then tried to point his gun at the officer which prompted him to open fire on the suspect. The suspect was fatally shot and died on the scene.
Another suspect who Police believe to be involved in this incident has been arrested. Although Phoenix PD hasn’t made it clear how many suspects were involved into robbery they have said that there are more suspect still at large.
No officer or civilian was injured in the incident.
