Henry County, GA: Henry County Police Department has reported that at least 2 of their police officers have been shot in an “active incident” near Eagle Way in Stockbridge, Georgia.
The incident occurred on Thursday morning at around 10:50 a.m when Henry County police Officers got a “person shot” call from the Eagle Way area.
Henry County PD has confirmed the incident and has also asked the public to avoid the area in their tweet.

According to official reports by police at one person is dead inside the house who is confirmed not to be police officers. The suspect has barricaded himself inside the house.
When officers tried to approach the house, the suspect fired shots at them which resulted in two of the police officers from Henry County PD to get injured. There are no reports on how serious their injuries but they are being treated at the Grady Memorial Hospital.
Georgia’s Department of Transportation has also informed the public about the incident in their tweet. GDOT in their tweet said that “authorities are keeping all lanes cleared on I-75 northbound…to accommodate emergency vehicles and workers tending to police officers involved in a local shooting.”
